About the Journal

The SUB/WAVE Journal is the notebook kept next to the mixing desk. It carries field notes from building SUB/WAVE — a personal internet radio station where one stream plays for everyone, an AI DJ picks records from your own library and talks between them, and nobody gets a skip button.

Expect dispatches on the craft around that idea: prompting a DJ that knows the weather, self-hosting a music library with Navidrome, typography that behaves like newsprint, and the small engineering decisions that make a broadcast feel alive.

SUB/WAVE is open source — read the code on GitHub or tune in at getsubwave.com. The journal itself follows the station's house style: cream paper, near-black ink, one hot-vermilion accent, and not a rounded corner in sight.
